Her interest in women’s health occurred after the first year of medical school while rotating at the women’s center in Moscow. She observed a difficult delivery in a crowded labor ward and saw the courage, fear, pain and then the intense passion and love of delivering a healthy baby. Her interest in postgraduate training expanded to a gynecology-endocrinology fellowship. She then went on for an additional surgical fellowship in ambiguous genitalia and sex-reassignment surgeries.
After moving to North America, She successfully graduated from an OB/Gyn Residency at the University of British Columbia in Canada and has been a member of the College Physician and Surgeons of Canada for more than 10 years ago. She feels privileged to care for women and their families, whether in times of joy or hardship. She remains committed to establishing relationships built on trust, communication, and partnership. She describes her role as a women’s health physician is to listen to each patient’s unique health needs and customize a treatment plan best suited for their need.
